Fifteen years after Thoroughly Modern Millie first took Broadway, she’s back in the Big Apple again.
Sutton Foster reprised her Tony-winning role in a reunion concert staging of the hit musical on Monday night, with proceeds benefitting The Actors Fund. She was joined by other members of the original Broadway cast, including Gavin Creel (Jimmy) and Harriet Harris (Mrs. Meers), along with Marc Kudisch, Francis Jue, Megan McGinnis, Anne Nathan, and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Original director Michael Mayer, choreographer Rob Ashford, and musical director Michael Rafter also returned for the reunion show, as did many members of the band playing on the Minskoff Theatre stage.
