[…] On this episode of the Billboard on Broadway podcast, Foster chats with host Rebecca Milzoff about her diverse roles and the process of making Take Me to the World. After making her Broadway debut at the head of a large company, Foster says she needed to step back and find a show that would allow her to be part of an ensemble (that was The Drowsy Chaperone). It turned out she loved creating as part of a group — an attitude that carried through to the making of Take Me to the World. “It was really important to me that the album feel like a collaboration,” Foster says. “It’s taken years and years to get to where I am in 2018 as an artist and a person.” The album, she says, is “like a time capsule.”
